The process of die casting principle includes the following main steps:
Mould development:
First, a mold that matches the shape of the product is made through 3D and mold flow analysis. The mold is usually made of high-strength alloy steel to withstand high pressure and high temperature. The mold is divided into a male mold and a female mold, which are combined into a set of die-casting molds, respectively called a fixed mold and a movable mold.
Mold preheating:
Before the die casting process begins, the mold needs to be preheated to the proper temperature, which helps reduce stress as the metal cools and protects the mold for longer life.
Metal Melting:
Select the appropriate zinc or aluminum alloy material and heat it in the furnace above the melting point until the metal material is completely melted into a liquid state.
Injection material:
Die casting is the process of injecting molten metal into a mold cavity. This step is performed under high pressure to ensure that the metal raw material can fill every detail in the mold cavity and expel air smoothly to prevent the formation of pores and defects.
Cooling and solidification:
The molten metal cools rapidly in the mold and solidifies into a shape. The cooling process is controlled by the die-casting machine through the cooling system in the mold to ensure the quality and performance of the parts.
Mold opening and part removal:
When the metal is completely solidified, the mold opens and the robot arm takes out the die casting from the mold. The removed parts usually come with excess material, such as gates, ejector marks and burrs of micro-overflow, which are ground and trimmed.
Finishing and post-processing:
The reference surface and removal of excess metal such as CNC precision cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping and then surface treatment such as film coating, powder coating, electroplating, etc., so that the parts can achieve the appearance and precision required by the design.
These steps can be fine-tuned according to the needs of specific die-casting cases and coordinated with quality inspection equipment to achieve the goal. Zhengquan die-casting machines and equipment are mainly of two types, cold chamber die-casting and hot chamber die-casting. Zinc and aluminum die-casting processes have high production efficiency and high material quality. Zinc-aluminum die casting is a manufacturing process that is mainly used for mass production of metal parts with complex shapes and high precision requirements. It is widely used in industrial equipment, aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics, etc. , communications, motors and other industries.
